Who doesn’t love a warm, melty grilled cheese sandwich on a cold day?
For Day 6, we’re keeping it simple and comforting: Sourdough Grilled Cheese Sandwich. Using your leftover sourdough, this sandwich is the perfect balance of crispy, buttery bread and melty cheese.
Recipe:
Sourdough Grilled Cheese Sandwich
Ingredients:
- 2 slices leftover sourdough bread
- 2 slices of cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your favorite cheese)
- 1 tbsp butter
Instructions:
- Butter the bread: Butter one side of each slice of sourdough.
- Assemble the sandwich: Place cheese between the unbuttered sides of the bread.
- Grill: Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the sandwich, butter side down, for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
